    13 October 2011 - ESPO calls for greater coordination of custom procedures at EU ports
The European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO) has called for the application of custom procedures across the EU to be more coordinated.

ESPO told the European Commission (EC) at a meeting of its Intermodal and Logistics Committee that the “implementation of customs legislation has turned customs controls into a competitive factor for EU ports”.
