   Directives for Commercial Transportation


Directive 2003/87/EC
Directive 2003/87/EC is establishing a scheme for greenhouse gas emission allowance trading within the Community. It amends Council Directive 96/61/EC.

This Directive is compatible with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol.

It does not prevent any Member State from maintaining or establishing national trading schemes regulating emissions of greenhouse gases.
