The objective of this study is to identify actions that may be taken by the Commission that would help the European maritime industry to weather the current economic crisis and to be in good condition to avail of opportunities in the recovery. These actions have been ranked in order of their potential benefits, as well as the realization times of the benefits and the estimated incremental costs of the actions.
